Taylor Pennisi, PHARMD

Taylor Pennisi, PharmD, BCACP, BC-ADM, is a highly knowledgeable and experienced pharmacist and provider practicing at Aiken Physicians Alliance Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, where she serves as Director of the Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support Program. She is a board certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, and she is also board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES).

Taylor earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy in Clinton, SC, where she was awarded the President’s Award on two separate occasions, and she completed her undergraduate studies at Clemson University in Clemson, SC. Taylor is an active member of the American Diabetes Association, Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, and South Carolina Pharmacy Association. She specializes in diabetes technology and is a certified product trainer for multiple insulin infusion systems.

Taylor has a long history of community involvement and leadership. In 2021, she was awarded the ADCES Pharmacy Best Practices in Diabetes Care Award. She participated on the Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy Experiential Education Oversight Committee and offers Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotations for PharmD-candidates. As an active member of South Carolina ADCES, she serves on the planning committee for the Annual Diabetes Management Conference and continues to hold the position of Technology Chair. She has also volunteered with multiple health fairs, Influenza vaccine drives, La Clinica Gratis in Greenwood, SC, Adopt a Highway, and PLS Stop Hunger Now.

When not in clinic, Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She will gladly pick up a round of golf or a day trip to the zoo. Between family gatherings and Clemson football games, they stay on the move… showing up to cheer on the Clemson Tigers whenever they get the chance!
