Jian Li, MD

Jian Li, MD, is an experienced and highly skilled pulmonologist and critical care and sleep medicine physician practicing with Aiken Physicians Alliance Pulmonology. Dr. Li was inspired to pursue the fields of pulmonology and sleep medicine because of the need for more doctors in the field. He is motivated each time he is able to help his patients breathe and sleep better.

Dr. Li earned his medical degree at West China University of Medical Sciences in Chengdu, China. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, as well as an internship and residency at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. He also completed a Pulmonology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship and earned a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.

Dr. Li is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

When not in clinic or rounding at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Dr. Li enjoys spending time with his family. His two sons are his pride and joy, and he loves hanging out and playing with them whenever he can.
